The Borger Long Dolmen - Netherlands
Site Saver, John Palmer of the Netherlands, has notified Sacred Sites International about the largest megalith in his country which may soon be ruined by an adjoining theme park. The megalith is about 4,500 years old and is one of 53 legally protected in the Netherlands.

The Dutch site protection law stipulates that it is forbidden, without a written permit, to damage, disturb, move or change in any way, a protected monument. It is also illegal to repair, use, or allow a monument to be used in a manner by which it becomes endangered.

Dolmens are sacred prehistoric burial structures and as such should be preserved in a manner fitting their purpose. A theme park would create noise, traffic, and pollution that would damage the integrity of the site.

Please write polite letters of protest against the planned theme park.
