This is a sacred site listed this year as endangered by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

This is a 1915 unplastered adobe church, El Corazon Sagrado des las Iglesia de Jesus, commonly known as Ruidosa Church, located in southern Presidio County, Texas. It was originally built by communities fleeing the Mexican Revolution (1910-1920) and abandoned in the 1950s when it fell into disrepair.

The church served as a religious and social gathering place when it was built and it is being restored by Mexican American communities of the region.

Recent photos highlight traditional Matachin dancers and another event featuring a Mariachi band.
